Back to the 90s with a Unikue Twist

When you think of Virginia the first rap artists to come to mind may be Pharrell Williams, Missy Elliot, and Big Pooh. Look deeper into Virginia Beach/Radford and you’ll find an artist with a unique ear and voice.

Introducing producer and songwriter Unikue Hudson, representative of Noble Reign Radio from Virginia Beach. The funky MC brings us back to the 90s with his latest self-produced release “Bust These Rhymes” – a play off of rapper Busta Rhymes.

Hudson produces an easy-to-follow beat that consists of a quick, yet powerful sample from Busta Rhymes’ 1996 “Woo Haa!! (Got You All in Check).” It resembles a 2016 remixed version of the instrumental to blend with contemporary music, but still radiates an old school feeling that makes it repeatable for your headphones and wanting to catch every subtle metaphor he spits.

Unikue Hudson does not have many tracks featuring his smooth and silky lyricism, but we know the funky, Bad Boy-inspired musician is cooking up some new beats with old recipes.

It’ll be interesting to see how far Unikue Hudson will take Noble Reign Radio with his slick rhymes and creative sampling. Keep your eye on the Virginia Beach prospect.
