Tyler, the Creator Recreates Bill Nye’s Theme Song for Netflix Original

You remember Bill Nye the Science Guy? The one that used to come out on Saturday morning on PBS? He’s coming back on a new Netflix series called Bill Nye Saves the World, which features a revamped version of the theme song created by Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator. Listen to the original version below.

“Yeah the first one is really sick,” Tyler said, referring to the original theme song. “I love the fast pacedness of it. You take out that snare, it could be a house song.” he said referring to the new theme song.

The inspiration of the new theme, Tyler explains comes from his memories from watching the show from childhood: “It would come on Saturday morning, before the cartoons. My favorite part was the location […] you never really knew where the wall ended,” Tyler reminisces with Bill Nye in a clip shared via The Science Guy’s Twitter.

The video ends awkwardly as they describe the mutual respect they have for one another. Bill Nye Saves the World is set to feature several celebrity guests, including Steve Aoki. The Netflix Original is set to release on April 21. Watch the trailer below.

Howdy, I am Matthew. I write sometimes and I sit at The Lunch Table.
