The Rise of Hobo Johnson, Sacramento Poetic Rapper

Spotted spitting bars from a beat up backyard in Oak Park, 22-year-old Sacramento native, Hobo Johnson can be found in his element of poetic rapping.

With the given name of Frank Lopes, he has built a persona in the hip hop community as a poetic rapper who is just being true to himself with the intentions of generating “Nice” Hip Hop for fans of all ages to enjoy.

Lopes is known for throwing down deep lyrics with his corky monotone style over subtle instrumentals while performing in a backyard for his YouTube fans. His latest work and first released album is titled, The Rise of Hobo Johnson. Throughout his tunes, we hear his story of how he started out as a kid with family issues, to getting kicked out of the house and living in his 1994 Toyota Corolla, to love stories, and everything else in between. His music style is very unique, but relatable at the same time.
