Goldlink took over 2017 with his single off At What Cost called “Crew” that features Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy. Comparatively, Miguel also took over 2017 with his War & Leisure single “Skywalker” that features Travis Scott. Both recognized each other’s game and decided to join forces halfway through the new year on “Got Friends” and it’s everything we expected.
“Got Friends” is a conversation between Goldlink, Miguel and their ladies. While Goldlink is focused on one chick, Miguel speaks for the lady in the room and is intrigued by the idea of interacting with multiple women at once. Hence, the repetitious chorus “All of my bitches got friends”.
Listen to their new single above.
Also, since Eric Bellinger and Wale announced a collaborative album in the works, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have Goldlink and Miguel do one as well. Two pairs of R&B singers and rappers that blend perfectly well together is something we need to divert our attention from the beef amongst hip hop’s greats. And if you’re looking for a cool duo that spits raps and melodies, you’ll want to check out Kelechi and Phay.
