Coachella 2018 Spotlight: Giraffage

Giraffage is taking his talents from San Francisco to Coachella 2018 with sounds he recorded in his bedroom from two years ago. Charlie Yin aka Giraffage is blending electronic, contemporary R&B, and hypnagogic pop on his debut album Too Real.

Wonder what that sounds like? Watch the music video for “Maybes” featuring fellow Coachella performer, Japanese Breakfast, to see what I am talking about.

Still not convinced that he is worth seeing? Vibe out with his Boiler Room Los Angeles Live set DJ mix where he mixes Roy Ayers’ “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” and makes other familiar samples into a groovy electronica beat.

Yin performs regularly at venues around the San Francisco Bay Area. He is accredited for his remix of Tinashe’s “The Last Night On Earth” and “All Hands on Deck”, Janet Jackson’s “Someone To Call My Lover”, R. Kelly’s “Ignition (Remix)”, and many more.
