Recalling “PokéRap” | Damielou’s Pokemon Go Rap Cover

As you walk around your neighborhood you may notice a surplus of people wandering aimlessly while constantly keeping an eye on their phone. More than likely, they’ve succumbed to the power Niantic and The Pokémon Company exercised across the world; their takeover through Pokemon Go.

Fans of the 1995 emanating anime can surely recall the contagious PokéRap, a brief rap song featuring multiple male voices announcing the original 150 Pokémon names in a rhythmic and rhyming fashion.

With the innovation of Pokémon Go comes those same fans wanting to reciprocate the happiness the pocket monsters brought to them. Australian Musician and YouTuber Damielou was quick to rekindle the Charmander flame of the PokéRap with a video filled with astounding vocals, and entertaining expressions that put a face to the Poké-rapper.
