Aminé Revises “Caroline” to Protest Donald Trump on ‘The Tonight Show’

It’s been a little over a week since President-Elect Donald Trump claimed the White House against Hillary Clinton. Across the nation we have seen both violent and non-violent protests with Americans chanting “Not My President!”. Although Portland rapper Aminé shares the same views as majority of America, he won’t be found protesting synonymously to the crowds on the streets. So the next best thing was to speak his mind on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Building momentum off his top 100 Billboard single about perfectly imperfect women in “Caroline”, Aminé supplies an additional verse about his viewpoints on Trump’s presidency, and his admiration in being a black American. He ended his verse stating:
“You can never make America great again, all you ever did was make this country hate again”
This was the Rip City rapper’s first time on national television. As a 22-year-old in the game, he’s made an intrepid name for himself by tackling this stunning election. This may start a domino effect for other rappers to open their stance to the public.
Amine is set to tour in New York, Los Angeles and Portland. You can purchase tickets for his tour on his website.
