“The Ramos” is Keep’s classic midtop inspired by the wintertime. The water-resistant shoe features the colorway for Planned Parenthood with exchangeable black and magenta laces. Additionally, Ad-Rock’s last name is split between the left and right pair as a reminder of his support for women’s rights to their bodies.
“I support a woman’s right to choose and feel that women should not be punished for making decisions about their own lives and bodies,” Horovitz said.
Following the days of Small Business Saturday, Ad-Rock claims to be a strong supporter of small businesses, and furthermore women-run businesses.
“I collaborated with my friend Una [Kim, founder of] Keep shoes not just because I wanted warm sneaks, but because I support small business,” Ad-Rock said. “I support women-run business. I support Asian-American-run business.”
The Vegan shoe model is going for $97, and can be pre-ordered for shipment in late February 2017. You can pre-order your pair at the Keep’s website.
