April 2017 was definitely a memorable month for hip-hop. Even with the new socially conscious tracks by Kendrick Lamar and Logic, the more relaxed records of Eric Bellinger’s Cannabliss, and a 4/20 holiday that was able to capture all of this new music at once, there’s still another project that deserves credit for it’s amazing beats and relaxed nature. Taylor Gang’s own Tuki Carter is a rapper by day, tattoo artist by night, who’s penmanship is equally creative on paper and the human body.
Nico Blitz sits down with Tuki Carter to talk about his affiliation with Wiz Khalifa and Taylor Gang, his humble beginnings as a tattoo artist to his ownership of City of Ink in Atlanta, and his Flowers & Planes LP that brings the effects of 4/20 to your everyday livelihood.
Flowers & Planes will be available on all streaming platforms on April 28.
