The newest fashion trend hitting social media is the RompHim, if you aren’t familiar it is basically just a romper for men. This summer style is all the craze in the media at the moment, some people love it and some people hate it. Regardless of your opinion, it’s fitting in the men’s fashion industry.

The RompHim was created by a couple of dudes on a Kickstarter campaign. The campaign exceeded its $10,000 dollar goal within a day. “We were sitting around drinking beers one evening and got to talking about men’s clothing,” the Kickstarter reads. “Why wasn’t there anything out there that allowed guys to be more stylish and fun without also sacrificing comfort, fit, and versatility?”
This new fad blew up thanks to some serious advertising on social media and viral tweets from ‘certified’ people, like this tweet from NY Mag Associate Editor Madison Malone Kircher stating, “Ban men.”

Many trace it back to Atlanta artist Young Dro for starting the RompHim mania. After pictures surfaced of him wearing a flowery matching top and bottom set.
I mean you can’t totally blame people for thinking it’s a romper/RompHim. However, Young Dro was not thrilled by this assumption made by people and decided to address the viral romper rumors before they continued.
The Grand Hustle rapper clears the air on his small rant: “I don’t know what y’all thinking my boy, I don’t wear rompers, I don’t wear romper s***, y’all like think I’m finna put on some s*** that connect to my nuts?? u got me f*** up!”
So to all you male hip-hop lovers out there that thought to yourself if Young Dro can wear a RompHim, so can I! You might need to look for some new inspiration. Or just rock one cause you can. I mean it’s 2017 people. Romp-Away!
