Chicago Hip Hop blog Fake Shore Drive teamed up with Red Bull Sound Select’s 30 Days in LA to grow wings on some of its iconic artists and bring them to the city of Angels.

The lineup was purely and truly Chicago, showcasing the variety that encompasses the city. Listed was Fake Shore Drive Ty Howard aka someguynamedty, DJ Oreo, Warhol.ss, Joey Purp, and Jeremih. Surprise guests included Chief Keef and the Bay Area’s HBK Gang.
All of the artists that appeared showcased their own style to the world of Hip Hop and R&B. DJ Oreo’s genuine passion was visible as he sang along to his own recipe of ear candy from last 10 years, including “Formation,” “Miss New Booty,” and “The New Workout Plan.”
The crowd was an experimental hype chamber for Warhol.ss, who entered the stage with his crew by tossing water over the attendees. The rapper wasn’t afraid to promote Chicago while jumping into the crowd.
Joey Purp, who had just return from a European tour, was clearly groomed for the stage, providing energy and power all by himself. He was able to perform six songs of his eleven, including “Girls @” which features Chance the Rapper.
Headliner Jeremih showcased his talent on the piano accompanied with his R&B croon. But as a crowd pleaser, he brought his hit songs “Down on Me” and “Birthday Sex,” as well as artists from previous collaborations.
Natalie La Rose came out to perform her 2014 radio hit “Somebody,” and The Game appeared on stage to perform “All Eyez.”
The biggest treat of the night came with YG, who performed “Don’t Tell ‘Em” and post-election favorite “fdt.”
30 Days in LA by Red Bull Sound Select will continue for the rest of November and features over 70+ artists, including Pusha T, Snakehips, and Jhene Aiko.
