R&B and Hip-Hop are something like two peas in a pod. In the early 2000s, we have seen combinations like Kelis & Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Ja Rule & Ashanti, and Jennifer Lopez with notable artists like LL Cool J and Fat Joe.

As we all know, Fetty Wap has been constantly rising since his 2015 hit “Trap Queen”, and has made his way into some of today’s Pop and R&B songs. Speaking of which, this Soundcloud singer seems like she’s on the rise as well.
Introducing Z, who labels herself as “Singer from North Jersey,” already hit over a million views with her iTunes single “Nobody’s Better.”
There’s not much to say about her since when Google searching ‘Z’, ‘Z North Jersey Singer’ or anything similar to that will bring you to a list of results that won’t lead you to any biography.
She takes us on an adventure back to early 2000s R&B, adding a bit of a twist with today’s modernized sounds. It has the capabilities of becoming a hot single in the near future, and totally makes me reminisce on the first time I heard “2 On” by Tinashe.

However, we’ve seen countless times that rappers and singers who have made a song that instantly blows up the charts do not follow through with an ear encapsulating album, or songs that are worth a listen to later on.
I’m hoping Z will eclipse the status of a one hit wonder and will continue to create aux cord-worthy content for us to enjoy because it would be a major waste for someone of her talent to fall off.
