This ice cream shop located in New York’s Lower East Side and Harlem cultivates pop-cultured inspired ice cream. From naming flavors after well-known hip hop artists to your favorite old time R&B singers, this place sets itself apart from others in the cold business.

“We’re just trying to push the boundaries of what companies are doing with ice cream,” says founder, Michael “Mikey” Cole. “And we do this by using the best ingredients and building lasting relationships with local businesses, customers and other great people.”

Fun fact: he has even created custom flavors for Jay-Z and Hillary Clinton.

Some of the popular flavors on the menu include:




Ice Ice Baby
This was named after rapper, Vanilla Ice’s hit song “Ice Ice Baby” from I989. The blend consists of three different types of vanilla beans.

Mint Condition
This flavor was named after an American R&B band from Minnesota that formed in the mid 1980s, best known for their hit “Breakin’ My Heart” aka “Pretty Brown Eyes”. This flavor is made with natural mint and triple fudge brownie pieces.

Foxy Brown
Influenced by American rapper, Foxy Brown, from New York City, this mixture contains mocha with crushed chocolate wafer cookies and sea salt caramel swirl.

2 Live Crew
This Mikey Likes It signature milkshake with your choice of ice cream was named after an American Hip Hop group from Miami, Florida. Best known for their sexual themed work such as hit song, Me So Horny.

Nice & Smooth
Named after the late 80’s East coast hip hop duo, Nice & Smooth, this is made with the store’s signature milkshake with your choice of healthy ice cream made with coconut water, soymilk, or almond milk.

Milli Vanilli
A coke or root beer float served with two scoops of ice cream of your choice. This dessert was influenced by the German R&B duo from Munich that was founded in 1988.
