Coachella 2018 Spotlight: Ekali

Ekali Coachella 2018 - The Lunch Table

Ekali is making his way back to the Coachella festival. This time he has both weekends to put on his best performance.

Nathan Shaw, better known by his stage name Ekali, is an Electronic music producer from Vancouver, Canada who’s signed to OWSLA – the same label as Skrillex, Zedd and Porter Robinson. He is the former bassist of the band Said the Whale and has production and writing credit for Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Ekali put work on songs like “Wednesday Night Interlude” and “Preach”.

Ekali will be making his way to Coachella 2018 and hip hop heads will have reasons to enjoy his set. As an affiliate the global music collective Flow-fi and Vancouver collective Chapel Sound, Nathan has music with Denzel Curry to capture both electric and hip hop audiences. Their records “Babylon” and “Threatz” are pure exemplifications of that:

Check out these songs and remixes that include Dorian Steps, Alina Baraz, and Opia.

Other producer acts you’ll want to see at Coachella include Pasque, Giraffage, and Whethan.
